Intel Abandons Planned €30 Billion Chip Plant in Germany, Dealing Blow to European Semiconductor Ambitions

Intel has cancelled plans for a major semiconductor factory in Magdeburg, freeing up almost ten billion euros in planned government subsidies but dealing a setback to Europe's efforts to expand domestic production of advanced chips.
