Germany’s Right-to-Repair Rules Will Require Longer Access to Repairs and Spare Parts
New right-to-repair requirements applying to purchases from the middle of next year will oblige manufacturers to repair certain electrical products beyond the standard two-year warranty period. The rules are intended to reduce electronic waste while requiring international manufacturers to adapt product design and European supply chains to stronger circular-economy standards.
