German automotive manufacturer Volkswagen has initiated a global recall for more than seventy thousand electric vehicles to inspect and repair safety-related defects identified in their battery systems. The mandatory recall affects multiple model lines and requires owners to bring their vehicles to authorized service centers for comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
