Germany Cuts Electricity Tax for Industry in Bid to Protect Manufacturing

The German government has approved permanent electricity-tax reductions worth about 10 billion euros a year for manufacturing companies, seeking to ease pressure on energy-intensive industries facing high costs and intense global competition.
