Germany Cuts Aviation Tax to Strengthen Airport Competitiveness

The German government lowered aviation taxes back to levels before May 2024 after pressure from airlines and airport operators. The move aims to improve the competitiveness of German airports and prevent further shifts of international routes to competing European hubs.
