German Government Plans Copyright Reform to Clarify Rules for AI Model Training

The Federal Justice Ministry is preparing legislation to clarify copyright rules governing text and data mining for artificial intelligence training, while German publishers are calling for fair licensing arrangements and a share of commercial revenues generated by AI providers.
