German Economic Institutes Raise 2026 Growth Forecast to 1.3% but Warn Recovery Remains Fragile

Germany’s five leading economic institutes more than doubled their joint 2026 growth forecast from 0.6% to 1.3%, while warning that high energy costs, industrial weaknesses and low Rhine water levels continue to constrain the recovery.
