Bundesbank Warns Weak Housing Construction Is Undermining Long-Term Growth Prospects

The Bundesbank has cautioned that continued weakness in Germany’s residential construction sector risks weighing on broader economic productivity and investment activity. In its monthly report, the central bank said targeted tax incentives for developers may be needed to stabilise building activity and support the wider Mittelstand.
