Federal Ministry of Economics Proposes Streamlined Approval Procedures for Renewable Energy and Grid Expansion

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in Berlin introduced a legislative package designed to drastically shorten planning and approval timelines for high-voltage power transmission lines and utility-scale renewable energy installations to accelerate the nationwide energy transition and lower industrial electricity tariffs.
