Germany’s Economy Weakens Further as Kiel Institute Cuts 2026 Growth Forecast

The Kiel Institute for the World Economy has lowered its outlook for Germany’s 2026 economic growth to almost zero, citing high energy costs, weak exports, labor shortages, and persistent pressure on the country’s industrial base.
