Germany Approves New Fuel-Tax Relief Worth About €2.5 Billion

The federal and state governments have agreed to cut taxes on petrol and diesel by the equivalent of about 17 cents a litre from October through the end of 2026, seeking to ease pressure from elevated energy prices on households and businesses.
